In the case of an atmospheric release a noxious substance, modeling remains essential tool to assess and forecast impact release. The such situations on populated, hence built-up, areas is uttermost importance. However, requires specific high-resolution approaches, which are complex set up in emergency situations. Various approaches have been tried evaluated: EMERGENCIES EMED project demonstrated effective strategy using intensive parallel computing.
